From Forgiveness to Service

Eighteen years ago today, I meekly prayed to ask Jesus to come into my life as my Lord and Savior. I wrote about this decision process in Remembering My Salvation, and would love if you read that story.

When people ask me why we moved to Allendale, the shortest and truest answer is, “Because we think Jesus wanted us to.”

Jesus died on the cross for my sins, to pay the penalty that I never could. Through faith in Him, the Father has forgiven me. And because I have been saved from death, I can live a life of service to Him.

And for that, I am thankful and joyful today.

“But with you there is forgiveness, so that we can, with reverence, serve you.”  Psalm 130:4
