Discipleship Must Be “Plan A”
It’s easy to put off ministry or serving. A simple “I’ll pray about serving there” can be a cover up for passivity, or even a hardened, unloving heart.
Odd Thomas (courtesy of the Verge Network) has some words for us when we feel this way:
Now, don’t watch or listen to this and your first response be, “I’ll go start doing something.” Our initial response, Odd Thomas reminds us, must be that of repentance and confession. Then, we must remember our redemption.
If our actions are not centered on the work of the Gospel in our lives, we will still be missing the mark.
