Reason #20 Allendale Is Better Than Where You Live: Cheering Sports Crowds
I know. You’re confused by the title. There are loyal high school sports fans all over the place. What makes the ones in Allendale special?
Let me tell you what I saw at basketball games this past year:
- When one of our players would dunk (and more than a handful can), the crowd cheers. Supporting the team.
- When one of our players would miss a dunk (it happens), the crowd cheers. Applauding the effort.
- When a player on the other team missed a dunk, the crowd cheers. Poking fun.
- When a player on the other team made a dunk, the crowd cheers. Giving credit.
See that? What other fans would cheer for those who are extraordinary and entertaining, no matter which team the player is on?
